Terms of Service

1. Who we are and acceptance

ThermAcoustic Pro (the "service") is operated by AE4 Labs LLC, a United States limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using the service, with or without an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

ThermAcoustic Pro is an element-level calculator for building assemblies. For one assembly at a time it calculates the U-value with a steady-state dew-point check, airborne sound insulation (Rw with the C and Ctr terms) for walls. Roofs, floors and impact sound (Ln,w) are not available yet. Calculation methods are based on EN ISO 6946 (U-value) and ISO 717-1 (single-number rating). The service does not calculate building-level or field results.

The results are provided for informational and planning purposes only. They do not constitute engineering certification, building code compliance verification, or professional advice. Always verify calculations with a qualified engineer before use in construction.

3. Account

  • You can use the calculator on the Free plan without an account
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • One person per account - do not share accounts
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings

4. Plans and billing

Plan features and limits are listed on the Plans page and in the Fair Usage Policy, which form part of these Terms.

  • Free: no charge and no time limit. Uses the common material database. PDF reports are watermarked and limited to 3 per day. No saved projects, custom materials or layer-property editing.
  • Professional: paid subscription with the full material library, layer-property editing, up to 5 saved projects and 10 PDF exports per month.
  • Business: paid subscription with everything in Professional, custom materials, a company logo on reports, up to 20 saved projects and 40 PDF exports per month.

Business seats.A Business subscription includes up to 3 licenses, including the subscription owner. Each license is for one named person. The owner can invite and remove users. A user's access through a seat ends when the owner removes the seat or the subscription ends.

Export credits. Each new PDF export from the calculator uses one credit, also when the same assembly is exported again. Downloading a saved report again from the Reports page does not use a credit. Monthly credits reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC) and do not roll over.

Add-on packs. Professional and Business subscribers can buy a one-time pack of 3 extra PDF exports, up to 2 packs per calendar month, when the pack is offered on the Plans page. Pack credits expire at the end of the calendar month in which they were bought and still count toward the daily export limit.

Paid plans and add-on packs are billed through our payment provider, Polar. Prices are shown on the Plans page and at checkout. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and renew automatically. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal - cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or automate the service beyond normal use
  • Use the service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Share your account or resell access
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits

6. Intellectual property

The software, design, and content of ThermAcoustic Pro are owned by AE4 Labs LLC. Your calculation inputs and saved projects remain yours. We do not claim ownership over data you create.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including reliance on calculation results in professional or construction contexts.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time from Settings.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
