Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

1. Who we are

ThermAcoustic Pro is a web-based calculator for thermal and acoustic building assembly analysis. The service is operated by the ThermAcoustic Pro team. Questions about this policy can be sent to office@thermacoustic.pro.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password (if you register with email)
  • Usage data: calculations you run, assemblies you save, reports you generate
  • Payment data: billing is handled by Polar. We store only your subscription status - no card numbers
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps - standard server logs

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the service
  • To send transactional emails (password reset, billing receipts)
  • To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your calculation inputs for advertising.

4. Third-party services

  • Polar - payment processing and subscription management
  • Resend - transactional email delivery
  • Vercel - hosting and infrastructure
  • Google OAuth - optional sign-in (only if you choose this method)

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We only share data with them as needed to operate the service.

5. Data retention

Your account data and saved projects are retained until you delete your account. After deletion, data is removed within 30 days. Log data is retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object to processing or request restriction
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

To exercise these rights, email office@thermacoustic.pro or use the account deletion option in Settings.

7. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary, first-party cookies - the ones the site cannot function without. We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies, and we do not load third-party scripts that set cookies.

The consent banner records your choice in your browser's local storage so it is not shown again. Because the site sets no non-essential cookies, declining does not currently disable anything - but your choice is stored and would be respected if analytics were ever added. You can change or withdraw it here: .

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
